11/7/07 6 CommentsA quick heads-up.
Just letting everyone know that I most likely will NOT have Internet access all this weekend, and probably for the better part of Thursday as well.

10/24/07 3 CommentsWell, aren't I confused.
In which I squee over the new site but am simultaneously confused by it.

9/29/07 5 CommentsLol, this is a blog.
Hey all. I have to admit that it's been a while since I've even been able to access these blogs to read them - my new laptop has that same fun problem where you can't access any portion of the FC website save for the message boards, lol. So sorry for not keeping up with the Jonses! XD
Uh, I don't really have much to say, I'm apparently not that interesting of a person, lol. Life is good, though. So far, college has been merciful with me and I haven't had too many problems. Yet. XD Really, the only downside I can think of is that I got screwed into an 8am class four days a week, which is kind of aggravating, bleh. It's only one semester, though - and it's a Japanese class with cool students and an adorable teacher, so providing I can actually get my sorry behind out of bed in the morning, it's not too bad. ;)
Java programming actually gives me an unnatural sense of pride and self-worth, lol. The teacher is a little weird and the lectures aren't always that interesting, but reading the textbook helps a great deal and I just feel awesome when I can get a program up and running, however sophomoric it may be, lol.
My writing seminar actually deals entirely with 20th century music, which is cool. It's nice to be able to go on and on about your favorite bands and actually have people who understand and are willing to put up with your ramblings, lol. My seminar on genetic enhancement in the media is... interesting. The teacher has a voice like Ben Stein, no lie. XD But the subject matter is really cool, so that's not a problem. This week we watched this strange film version of Frankenstein made in the 90s or something... it was SOOOOO weird. It was supposed to be closer to the book than the Boris Karloff film, and I guess it was in the sense that everything is relative... but damn... some parts seriously had us beside ourselves laughing, the whole thing was so ridiculous. Good entertainment, but I just couldn't take it seriously. XDDDD
Anyway, living in Manhattan is great. I have to admit that I'm continuing to attempt to get used to the idea of roomates ZOMG, I usually prefer a quiet house without a whole bunch of people I don't know barging in and eating our food, but what can you do, lol. When it gets too much I can always step outside onto Broadway and just walk around aimlessly and get some air. I just wish the dining halls were open later... most of them all close at 9 or 10 at night. FAIL. >_<
Hmmmm. Other than that... I've been going to a lot of concerts, and planning on going to a lot more. I've been studying and trying to take it all in. Been keeping up with as many friends as I can. Etc. Life is good. YOU can't keep me down. :)
(OMG and also I bought a replica of Freddy Krueger's glove at a Halloween shop! You can even wear it! Of course it's a little big on me, but whatever, it's SO COOL!!! Lol, yes, I'm a nerd. XD)

7/23/07 11 CommentsAm I the only one...
NOT reading Harry Potter? XD
Lol, personally, I've never gotten the hype. I started reading the first book when I was a little kid, and never finished it - I didn't find it that interesting, frankly. Never read any of the other books since. I've seen a few of the films, but meh... didn't get them much either.
There are other things I'd rather stand in line for days and days for. ^_^
So, sorry if I don't join in the ZOMG HARRY POTTER DEATHLY HALLOWS ILU JK ROWLING squeeing y'all, lol! XD

5/11/07 3 CommentsThe AP European history exam...
Wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, lol. Went in thinking I'd be lucky to get a 2, left thinking I might just get a 4 or something. ^_^
It would be cool to do well. I mean, I did well on the AP US history test last year, but it would mean just a bit more to me to have done well on this one because, uh, I live in the US and have been learning US history for the past 40 years or something. (Okay, I'm exaggerating, but not by much. XD)
Just have to get through with AP language and composition now. Bleh. I don't like having to formulate and argue opinions, lol...
